Default Cam vs. Brakes Question

I have a 228 cam and just noticed that I am having some brake issues. The pedal is very soft.
I also have Baer Eradispeeds in the front with stainless steel brake lines.

I either have air in the lines or my cam is affecting my brake booster somehow. I don't know how cam size effects you brakes, if it does??? I just thought i read that somewhere on tech.

I tried a search, but no worky.

TIA

Yea I have the same problem too. Switch to a hydroboost setup. You can get it off any 2500hd or avalanche or most SUV's. All you need is the hydroboost setup and the lines that run off of it. You'll need to T off of one line but otherwise it's bolt on.

Yup, you lose a bit of vacuum with cams. Some have had luck with vacuum canisters "t'd" into your brake booster vacuum line. The best results seem to be from going to hydra-boost brakes system.

Truck has 71k on it. What about a bad master cylinder?

This site explains hydra-boost systems fairly well:

bigger duration cams pull less vacuum for the brakes.

you don't have a bad master cylinder. It's just your cam. I have the SAME exact problem. I wonder if being on a stock Converter has anything to do with it?

What makes you think a stock converter affects your braking?
