its a nice setup but for a daily driver it is not worth it. However, if it is a pure racing truck and every hp mattered then go for it.

They say it is only worth 10-12 hp. I would spend my money else where if I were you unless you have nothing else to do.

for racing they are worth it. 5-10 hp. they don't last as long as mechanical pumps and are a lot more expensive.

I believe the rating is actually closer to 3500 hours. To give you an idea how long that is, my Sierra now has just over 16,000 miles on the odometer. The hour meter says 518 hours. So it would go for at least 100,000 miles.

We're actually quite a bit less than Summit for that race pump -

WP119SHD Meziere 12V heavy duty electric water pump (black) race only $359.99

Most go with the street version -

The Meziere electric water pumps have been tested at the track, on the dyno and most importantly, during street driving. They have allowed engines to run cooler at low speeds and gain high end horsepower. In addition to the released power, you get to keep all of your factory accessories. Taking quality to the extreme, the WP319 features a dual bearing belt idler, billet parts throughout, and a “weather-tite” electrical connection. The pump is backed by a two-year warranty.

Features:

Purpose built for street use – 3000+ hour life expectancy.
Fully polished or anodized in your choice of 4 colors (Black,Blue,Red,Natural).
Chrome upgrade available.
55 GPM free flowing rating.
All stainless steel hardware included.
Heater and bypass provisions.
Light weight. Complete standard LS-1 unit weighs only 14.9 pounds!
Stainless steel large diameter main shaft with high performance ceramic seal.
Inlet fitting supplied to match stock configuration.
Easy install - truly a "bolt-on" pump.
Full two year warranty - the best in the business!

Finishing The System:
This pump is supplied complete with gaskets and hardware, complete and ready to bolt on. The only additional item you will need is a standard Chevrolet thermostat if you desire to use one. It will install behind the exit fitting located above the idler pulley.

Amperage draw:
Under normal use the pump will draw 11-12 amps.

Overall Height Dimension:
The standard pump is 7.88" long from the mounting surface to the tip of the pump.

Pump Weight:
This application weighs 14.9 lbs.

WP319S Meziere electric water pump (black) with thermostat $569.99
