Default So i was washing my truck today..

At my fav. car wash, and i hear this camming beast of a thing pulling in slowly, figured it was an fbody of some sort, camaro or bird, um wrong...it was a chevy s10 extreme...i almost shit myself....so i had to go talk to the guy to get the specs, it had a cammed ls1 in it...i dont know how...but he showed me the underhood, everything, i was like i bet you cant even launch that bitch without if flinging sideways, i asked him about the traction, he said it's rough, real rough, but he took it to houston raceway and ran a 13.34 on slicks, showed me the slip....

what a truck

hardly any.
Just buy or build some relocating motor mounts and get some shorties. If it came out with the 4.3 most of the work was already done. If it had the 2.8 he would have had to relocate the transmission mount. outside of that it's basically your regular swap. Possibly got a stand alone harness for the tranny.

At the worst he had to beat back the firewall a little, but i don't know that you have to do that anymore on those newer trucks. I didn't have to on my 89 with a 4.3.

X2 very little fabrication. like said, just motor mounts, adjusting the rad, and some misc relocation of different parts.

it might be easy but it sure as hell aint cheap. first off you have to run all hte car accesories for clearance. you have to have a special set of LTs that they actually make for S10s wit LSx... i think they are around $900
the wiring harness is like $750
http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f213/p...x-swap-283608/

imo id rather just buy a fullsize and be done wit it, im sure hte s10 would be a cool swap but 13.34, thats what i ran in 90*??

you don't have to buy lt's. most people are just using stock manifolds or shortys

yeah there is only one set of lt's out for them that i know of, and i guess its hit or miss on whether or not you get them from the guy that sells them.

i'm with everybody else on the times they should be better. them smaller trucks really aren't that fast though. the called blackX with the 6.0 and nitrous is only running mid 11's i think. hell there are fullsize trucks on here running that

edit: so maybe he's running mid 10's...my bad
