I want to buy a truck intake manifold that I can cut up with a band saw and look inside and take pictures. If it is cracked or somewhat broken, that is probably fine with me. I don't want to pay over $50.
My goal is to see how the internals differ from the car (LS1/LS6) manifolds and maybe do a write-up with pictures as to how they are different and see if there is any potential to improve the flow via porting.

Here is an example of some pictures I've taken on porting an oil pump outlet (before and after) to show you what I have in mind.

you might consider doing a search, BIGTEX did what you're talking about a long time ago and posted the pics. The main difference is that the car manifold is an open plunum design where the truck has like a "center horn" that opens up at the rear to the runners.

I found the thread where BIGTEX had cut the top off the plenum https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...ghlight=intake. I want to cut one from left to right and see what the runner design looks like. I appreciate the information guys. I've already been corresponding with Adam1803 via PM and he's sent me some pictures. Assuming everything goes OK, I'll probably buy his since he was the first to respond.
Thanks,
Steve
