These heads would probably work well on a 5.7l with FI but seem slightly pricy, maybe not after lurking over on LS1Tech. How many miles were on them before they were pulled?

They have about 70,000 miles on them. 90% of that is highway miles to & from work. I've seen similar go from $200 - $350. They are here if you want them.

were you able to find the pushrods? how much would the c/r drop on my smaller cubed motor? i currently have 706's

Yep, I found the stock push rods. The second question I can't answer.
