Default WTF bose amp

i think my bose amp went out. does this happen often? it worked great one night and th next morning no sound at all. so i pulled off the plug from under the console and i have sound from the radio. i checked it with a small speaker. it was very quiet but i figure that is how its suppose to be, being it was pre amp. the rear radio works with ear phones plugged in. so is the amp bad? i think so. where can i get a new one and is there a better replacement?

You should check with your dealer, it may just need a re-flash. I think I remember a TSB about this.

I know the luxury amps do not like reprogramming. They go blank sometimes when you change programming in them. I have two $400 paperweights to prove it.

I forgot to ask if yours is w/ or w/o navigation. The navigation amp (lux) can be reprogrammed to fit in any of the vehicles it came in (escalede, ex ,ext, denali, xl, sierra denali) supposedly for the air volume of the cab of the vehicle for the speakers / sub to compensate. If you try and set the amp up with the tech II gm scantool most of the time it wipes the files in the amp clean and will not be able to recovered. Of course this is all provided you have the lux amp. cannot be done w/ the premium amp
