The truck is 2 wheel drive with a 4l80 and a dana 60. My friends live in vegas so I drive there all the time from california and sometimes I bring different vehicles for different things I want to do.

well I finished up the inercooler tested it out with a smaller pulley and got alot of belt slip went back to the 3 inch pulley that i got 10 pounds on and now only have 8 but my iat temps are alot cooler so i bit the bullet and bought me a tnt f2 nos kit i will try a 100 shot with 8 pound and see what happens but i still want to see if i can beat my old time 12.4 with my new 4l80 410 gears and inercooler, then i will run the nos second pass i will be going to the track in about 2 weeks if the weather hold up but i dont think i will be going as fast as the big block suburban.

Did you install an intercooler besides the one underneath the supercharger? Your 12.4 before was all supercharger and no spray? Never ran my setup but I am hoping for just 12.99 which would put a smile on my face....3.42 I think is my only crutch holding me back right now.

03tahoe i have a question why dont you do 275 40 17 mt drag rads??

with 3rd being 1 to 1 and that tall tire you have on their your hurting yourself especailly with 3.42 gears.

I have 4.10s with 275 40 17 drag rads which makes it like a 4.92 rear end gear.

Honestly id seriously look into some 4.10s or 3.73s and small drag rads your truck will launch a lot faster.

now lets compare a few things here. Im not sure what your redline is. WIth 3.42 gears 110 miles per hour will only be mid thru 3rd not even in power range

Lets say you have 3.42 gears redline is 6000 rpms
with 275 40 17 top speed of 3rd is 134 mph
with 305 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 138 mph
with 295 45 17 top speed of 3rd is 143 mph
with 345 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 143 mph (28 inch tall tire)
with 305 45 18 top speed of 3rd is 150 mph (29 inch tall tire)

Lets say you have 3.73 gears redline is 6000 rpms
with 275 40 17 top speed of 3rd is 123 mph
with 305 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 126 mph
with 295 45 17 top speed of 3rd is 131 mph
with 345 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 131 mph (28 inch tall tire)
with 305 45 18 top speed of 3rd is 138 mph (29 inch tall tire)

Now lets say you have 3.90
with 275 40 17 top speed of 3rd is 117 mph
with 305 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 120 mph
with 295 45 17 top speed of 3rd is 126 mph
with 345 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 126 mph (28 inch tall tire)
with 305 45 18 top speed of 3rd is 132 mph (29 inch tall tire)

Now lets say you have 4.10s
with 275 40 17 top speed of 3rd is 112 mph
with 305 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 115 mph
with 295 45 17 top speed of 3rd is 120 mph
with 345 35 18 top speed of 3rd is 120 mph (28 inch tall tire)
with 305 45 18 top speed of 3rd is 125 mph (29 inch tall tire)

I usually recommend the mh racemasters. the 275 50 17 fit perfect on a 8 inch rim. Little taller but you will be good. the mh run small so its not a problem on that wheel.

sidenote i highly recomened these wheels with 305 35 18 mt drag rads. i just set up a guy with these on his single cab rado and 1.6 fot times all day long
