was a very very busy day at the track yesterday. so i got a total of two runs.
the first and best was 13.272 @103.33. i left the line with no boost and about 2200rpm for a 2.073 60ft. this was with about 12psi. the second run i red lighted and didn't know it so i got a grand ole 3.85 60ft and ran a 14.2 at 104mph. vid of first run http://videos.streetfire.net/video/t...132_705866.htm i was in full weight with spare tire and all. even left the car seats in and had the tool box in the back.
second run http://videos.streetfire.net/video/t...429_706003.htm
my buddy got the 4.3l out there too. the 5spd in that thing SUCKS lol and i don't think he quit has the hang of the racing thing yet. it popped out of first off the line so he had to shove it back in. he ran a 16 something at...get this.....102mph. lol http://videos.streetfire.net/video/4...ado_705885.htm
I did not know it was a ECSB 4.3, fuuck. What are the specs on the valvetrain and head work for that cam. I want to do the 270HR pretty soon, which is a 215/215 I believe.

yeah big ole truck lol. head work was done by a local guy. the springs are comp 918's like the ls guys use. there is a write up online on what all you need for the install of the springs. its on a vortec 350 but same part number just add "-6" instead of 8 at the end of the part numbers. these springs gave us like a .600" coil bind on these heads. so with 525 lift we were thinking of going 1.6 rockers for 550 lift IIRC.
I just set up an entire shopping cart of everything I can think of but summit racing doesnt let me search for any pushrods.
What pushrods are yall running?
they were a drop in for these heads no machine work required so that's what we went with. we called for pushrod length. can't remember off the top off my head how long they were though.

Ah, so that would get rid of the issue with having the heads worked over for the springs to clear?
