thanks for the heads up on that intake/injectors. we are going to go ahead and do that swap. seems to me with this intake swap, some slightly larger injectors and the meth we are in business to make some decent power safely.

anyone know if that intake uses the short injectors. i have a set of what i think are 38's. they have that same style of plug on them but are very short. it would be sweet if they are the same style and i can use these 38's.

sounds like an awesome build. I believe the injectors are the same height as say a ford/accel style injector.

oh, and i would most definetly do the intake swap as well...mainly for reliability and safety.

im pretty sure ^^ hes right!

the intake is a much better way to go if your running boost. only bad thing is it weighs 58 pounds. lol its like a f**kin boat anchor no joke! i would go with some 42lb injectors though... just my $.02

Yeah the stock fuel system is not that much fun to work with. I have made over 300whp twice with 4l60e blown S10's with an FMU no meth and pump fuel. About 95psi of FP and you can make 300, just not that reliable. With a marine intake or 2114 you can make 350+ to the tires and drive it every day with the stock engine.

Depending on meth for fueling, eesh. Thats cool until it quits on day and the motor goes to 15:1 AFR in boost. lol

i depend on a lot of components to work as they should and if they dont things blow up. it's just the way it is. loose something simple like a vacuum/boost line and boom it can go.

on my car and i am hoping on this truck i can use the iat sensor is a way to make sure the meth is flowing and if not pull a ton of timing when the iats go up.

i didn't read the whole thread yet but i can tell you i just did a build like this on a silverado. its making well over 300whp. we took it to the quarter mile. the 5speed popped out of gear on the launch so the time sucked but he ran at 102+mph after he put it back in gear and took off. with the clunky nv3500. this was a 2wd extcab short bed silverado. on our build we built the motor itself and used the marine intake. it was a easy swap NO drilling required if you do it right and the manifold we bought came with everything. including injectors (that we didn't use). and the siemen deka 60's with the ls1 style plug fit right in there. and you can use a ls1 throttlebody on it. for the ease of swap and the performance gains you get i would go for the intake for sure.

alot of people don't know that you can put the 918 springs on those heads without having to do any machining. that way you have stronger springs for boost and can run a higher lift cam with out worry.

we also used syty manifold and a mpt70 turbo. 14psi and the 60's are maxed out and its walking from my buddies 350z with a 75shot.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/4...ado_705885.htm

and this is his daily driver. infact he just took a trip to tennesse from maryland and down to florida.
