My official finished build thread! For now
I started off with a Completely stock ext 07 classic truck. It needed some paint so i decided to have it painted along with matched handles mirrors bumper(front//rear) and do something different.
start:
We then laid some paint, these are all gm factory colors, Victory red/spiral grey metallic/silver birch metallic:
After that the truck was too high so we lowered it and left the gm 20's on it with 275/45/20 hankook ventus:
Next order was the power plant. My first track time was a 15.9. I swapped the 35k mile 5.3 for a 34k mile 6.0 with a z06 cam and ls6 yellow springs, keeping open mind for FI later:
Also added some 22" boss 330 Wheels to give it the look i wanted:
That made a difference and i drove it like that for a little while. Still not satisfied with the way it ran. I wanted more so i picked up a yank tt3k converter, sent it to a friend for a freshen up and machined sprags and some 295/50/16 MT et street II's:
It ran decent then with a best of 13.7 at our local track but as usual i wanted more. So next in order was a kbracing frontmout turbo kit. I picked up his hot parts and cold side with a fmic, and other misc things through other members and vendors: installed with the help of some good friends

It ran great on the little 3lbs of boost i ran, while we worked out the tune. Thanks to nonnie and Justin at BBP, they got it mostly squared away and we proceeded to get ready to turn up the boost. Well i went to 7psi and that ended badly with a busted 4l60e:
After this i opted for a stock 4l80 with a hd2 shift kit and a huges deep pan:
The truck today has run a best of 12.7 with these mods on a 7lb waste gate spring, there is more left in this as we have run into several snags on tuning the truck and are currently swapping some parts out to allow us to run a cos3 operating system so i can tune correctly for boost!
here is my track set up and how the truck currently sits:
Thanks for looking and leave any comments you may have!
