I can only give my opinion on the one I run which is a SLP unit. Closed box design which i need since i live on a gravel road. IATs are usually within 5* of ambient while at cruising speeds and within 15* while stopped at a long light.

Pick which one you like the looks of better or flip a coin, they all perform about the same. I like closed box designs for the cooler temps around the filter and MAF, and because of all the junk flying around on the roads here, but honestly, my truck performs exactly the same with my current Volant with ram air as it did with my previous K&N FIPK

I have that same setup, but also modded the stock airbox by cutting out most of the bottom of it, as well as removing most of the metal tray below it. I have similar results as black00chev posted above, and on a WOT datalog you can see IAT's actually go lower as the MPH and RPM goes up, which is how it's supposed to work.

If I had to do it over again, I would have saved the $100 I wasted on the Airaid intake tube though. That made zero difference in anything except a deduction of funds from my wallet...
