like the tittle says, who hear has broke a 4l80e. if this is a repost give me a link.....please.

i believe the guy parish sold his truck to broke the trans, but i think he didnt know how to drive it right or something.

Thunder550 broke 2, then charcoal bowtie broke it again. I do not know what exactly broke, or what the cause was, but if your just trying to find the weak points (thats what it sounds like) I would kinda like to know as well.

just trying to figure out if i want a 4l80e, or the 4l60e with all the new billet part they have at FLT.

i didnt think you could bolt an awd t-case to a 4l80.

yep you can!! EAD performence makes a one off input gear swap for the t-case. Vary straight forward!

I blew up a 4l80 converter that took out the trans, but in reality the trans never failed on its own yet.

Other then clutches and the sprag which the 34 element is the upgrade for I really don't know of anything. I'm curious as well.

Edit: I do remember one member on hear broke a planetary but I don't remember his username.

I think mine broke off a bad rebuild. Shifts were ungodly hard, and it broke in two days. And I still drove it 250 miles home lol.

i fugred a thread like this would come after the other one performabuilt posted in, lol im also curious to see this, $1800 on 60e or go the 80e route..

also i hear that the 4l80e shifts better? how is it better? just trying to get an idea. i know i wish mine would shift on point everytime. it seems like at wot lately it takes a loonngg time to go from gear to gear. it feels like the truck is falling on its face then it shift and takes off again. (this is a 4l60e)
