110 psi of boost will do that. There's so much combustion pressure that it pushed the injector cup up out of the chamber and pressurized the cooling system. It puked out coolant from the overflow.

Sucks for Duramax, they just got tossed back to the back of the pack.. 2 Cummins just pegged a 1200hp DynoJet in Vegas a few weekends ago..

How do you figure that? Sure it can be done cheaper, but reliabilty becomes and issue, but the same is true for the Cummins. The two that went 1200+ HP (a 2nd gen p-pump truck and an 05 common rail truck) both had internally stock engines (except for the cam), big injectors, big turbos and a buttload of nitrous.. The Duramax that went 1000hp had a built motor, big injectors, and big twins big twins

No you cannot get 700hp with just a tune. and 1000 is not easy.

The highest tune-only Duramax is sitting in the mid 400's.. With an aftermarket lift pump, intake and exhaust, some people can maybe squeeze 500 out of them, but you can do the same on a Cummins

I have a Duramax with 511hp with just a tune, exhaust, trans, and lift pump. I have beatin everything that lined up next to me soo far. From WRX STi to Lancer EVO to a new Corvette Z06. I have beaten them all. A Duramax will out perform a Cummins any day on the street...
