Banks has overused the Sidewinder name. The Dakota was the original Sidewinder, and the Type-R Duramax used to be called the Type-R D-Max, but I guess now its the Sidewinder as well. Their drag racing Sidewinder can kiss my ***. They have over $100k into that truck, and it has yet to make a pass both on the dyno and the track..

Lol, yeah I guess they have overused that name!! I wasn't aware that they have named every third truck the sidewinder. I guess I should of specified the dakota land speed record "sidewinder".
My bad

Dude I'm sorry but there's no way that you could beat a new Z06 with your truck. Trust me he wasn't trying or he put it in the reverse gear or something. They run mid to low 11s stock and I heard of one making 10s on slicks.

tyler. (dirt track racer) stayed side by side with one until about 120 before it started to pull.

I do agree with you tho, the only way he would have beat the new z06 is if the driver missed a gear or just couldn't drive. Or there is the possibility that he just had a better launch.

511 HP in a 7000lb truck is like mid to high 13s on a good day, and diesels suck from a roll.

It's gonna take a lot more than a better launch, we're talking easily a 2 sec deficit here. In all reality there's probably only a dozen trucks on here that would even stand a chance if the Z06 driver is decent... no disrespect meant to anyone.
