2007.5 LMM performance
gotta 2007.5 crew cab LMM with only a PPE programer on it right now and its doing great but I want some more, how complicated is a DPF delete and what are my pro's and con's for doing it? I tow with the boat some but rarely over 6000-7000lbs running 325/50R20 Toyo Proxes. Plan on taking my stock air box apart tomorrow night and removing the fan looking thing and cutting the front behind the headlight like I seen on here.

I wouldnt bother cutting the box just pull the silencer(fan looking thing) out. All it does is even out the airflow over the entire filter so all the filter media gets used but it also makes the turbo sound better not much gain to be had from it though nor any other intake. I just like mine because it looks cool and I got a great deal on it. The DPF delete is not hard at all, just removing everything from the downpipe back. You will need to get a tuner that can remove the codes that will be thrown from missing the DPF, I personally would go with EFILive lots of guys using it and tons of help to be had. Throw a transgo jr in the trans, with full downpipe back exhaust and 120hp EFI tune and you'll be running low 14s and getting close to 20mpgs doing it
Edit: saw you have a PPE tuner those are about the best and you can upgrade to one with DPF delete

I have a 07 Classic CCSB with 33's on H2s and PPE Tuner w/ MBRP Exhaust. I still have the cat and EGR right now. When I pulled the air difuser out I could hear the turbo more and it seems to be more responsive.
I went 14.2x's with the 225 tune. on the 33" mud tires in about 75* weather.

^ you ran with it on the level 2 (90hp) before? you might be surprised to run alittle better with level 2 as the trans isn't liking that 225hp which i think is level 4. you do have 295's though but ive seen them with 265's and 285's with PPE (90hp) hit 13.9's
