I have never used wait4me tune (odd tuner name if you ask me) but I have had a custom tune from a local company. All I can say is if the tuner knows what they are doing you can have pretty impresive gains vs. an over the counter hand held tune while keeping the longevity of the truck. Do you have any mods to your truck that the tuner is adjusting for?

You would definatly benifit with a tune. Way more than a hand held can do. Im pretty sure the tunes you can get from our sponsors will adjust trans shift firmness to help the trans with the additional HP and TQ you get from the tune. It would also help out with the longevity of the trans with all of your towing. Im not sure about the guy your using but its a question you probably should ask for your benifit. How big, heavy and often do you tow? How many miles are on it?

As far as longevity of your truck the LS series engines in our trucks have GREAT resistance to wear. Some have pulled motors with 200,000+ miles and was still showing cross hatching in the cyl bores. That is pretty impressive! Just run a good oil and keep up with maintenence and they will run forever!

If the tune is done right, it will not affect the life of the engine.. However. I think there are a few better tuners then the one you chose. I have heard a ton of mixed reviews on them tunes from W4m..

I tow between 8-11000Ibs maybe 4-5 times a year to myrtle beach or gatlinburg tn. the truck has 41000 miles on it and oil is changed ever 3000 miles and other maintance is also kept up with.
