BBC is killing it on gas. Engine in question is a fresh 6.5 with the lower comp pistons, re spec'd turbo. Not looking to dump money into it, esp the cost of a cummings, then trans ect. Going to trade a friend even up BBC, trans for the 6.5 trans/pcm.. They run well enough. It's not for racing or pulling just better fuel mileage..

Yeh it was a freak of luck that this dude happened to have this set up. Still waiting to get some specs as to the actual components, but I do feel it will suit this truck well. I wish the cummins could be had for cheaper, but o-well.

Cummins is loud and shakes, no the best for a cruiser. If you dont mind a HP limit and not being able to run 60 psi boost or roll coal everywhere then the 6.5 will do great and it will surprise you with a load.
