use marine injectors for the 8.1l and keep watching ebay for a used unit. only way to find them minus some one on here having one for sale... i love mine and im gonna order a 2 1/4 pully from whipple soon.. just make sure when you do it you put a intercooler on either front mount air to air or air to water like it came with

Iv been keeping an eye open for one just figured if people knew I was looking might make finding one easier. What size are the marine injectors?
I prefer Air to water intercoolers :less volume and more efficient = more boost. I bought an intercooler for my whippled 383 but never got around to fabbing it up. With a 1.6l compressor and a 2 5/8 pulley for the added cubes Id get IATs up to 240*f witch kills timing and power.

I would go bigger then the marine injectors. I am maxing out my 85 pounders at 80 psi fp
and barely making 7 pounds of boost 750 flywheel hp
There is a brand new Dinky whipple marine setup for the 8.1 on eghey right now. the blower sits the traditional way. The blower is too small in my opinion... but has an after cooler etc.
I wish e85 support wasnt so sparatic I would just set my truck up to run it.

Iv seen those on ebay a little on the expensive side tho. Wouldnt take to much to make a custom inlet piece and use the stock throttle body on it. Im sure where it replaces the intake you would have more boost with less volume to have to fill. then get a drive thats the proper length and good to go. If the manifolds intercooled that would be even better.

No havent been looking to hard either and Im having second thoughts about boosting it after all I went through with my 383 I dont know thats its worth it. This things my tow rig and I dont know if Ill be able to afford gas after boost and I want to keep it reliable for towing. I would probably still do it if I found one for the right price but anything Iv seen is 4k at least and thats not gonna fly.
