i really dont know that much about it but i thought a forged piston would melt or bend but not break like that.

My engine guy wasn't impressed with them. Now this has happened nether am I. Might have to get a custom piston made to hold up.

sounds like you may want to check the intake manifold to see if there would be a reason for the fuel to not reach that cylinder as easily as the other 7. we know the nitrous will due to the pressure and temperature of the gas. if the fuel isn't making it's way back to that cylinder though, you're just going to keep eating pistons.

Might check into the JE SRP series they are fairly cheap for what you get and are a very nice and light forged piston thats what Im going with on my 418. Im with Parish I thought a forged piston would distort or just melt down but not chip like that. T me that loks like somethign old POS hypertectic or cast pistons would do. Have seen many of those that look like that and all the toasted forged pistons I have seen have either had a melted hole in the middle or edges were all screwed up.

kicks dead horse, thats the piston aluminum material they make two different types. and malhe uses the not so good type for there forged.
