Default Custom ground cam 8.1

So last Sunday I bent pushrods, put new ones in Thursday and bam bent again. I think I've found what my problem is to start with. My fuel tables have gown nuts. It's bending the intake on lean conditions. Or my coil pack or something has died. Anyway I'm going to rip into the motor at some point and make sure I don't have other damage.

My thoughts are this. If this motor is hurt ill swap it with another 8.1 out of a salvage truck and ride. Keep the old motor build it up one day and put all the turbo stuff in something lighter. With that said if I go with a replacement motor I'd like to do a bigger cam. The current one is the comp 270. I think it's like 510 510. Or something along those lines. Which to be honest is a small cam in my opinion. My vette has a 6xx in it and it has a little motor lol.

So Ed or tierod you all ever look into a custom ground. I'd like to do something that hits a good lick but not over kill. I know it will be slow but I hope my mileage comes back! This 5.4 mpg SUCKS I remember tie rod blue truck sounded good and I think he was running rylers stuff. Just thinking something with a bit more power than stock but sounds like a big block. Lol got to get some thumpidy thump if I ditch the turbo

I'm workin on a Raylar 103 swap. It's bigger then Comp's 270.
I ran into a small snag. Won't have time to work on it again till next weekend.

Sounds interesting.

I was on his page last night. If I had the cash that 600ci stroker with the blower cam and turbo bolted up would be sick lol

That truck is long gone. Business got slow. I pulled the turbo and sold it before the repo man got it.
This is my dad's truck. 03' 3500 dually flatbed. Had one of roller on the lifter go bad.
With the cam it's getting roller rockers, springs, timing chain, and pushrods.
My dad would be happy with a stock cam. I told him if he wanted me to do the work this how it's goina be. Lol

I have 3 camaros but none run, lol
The two 98's don't have engines and the 99' spun a rod bearing. I have a ls3 long block but haven't had the money for the intake and cam.

Any luck on the big raylar cam?
