duramax mpg
Im lookig at buying a 2011 sierra denali HD2500 diesel, anyone have anything comparable and have an idea what they get around town.
and who makes a good sounding exhaust kit (no stacks) corsa?
and would a custom tuner help mpg if I could stay out of it?
thanks

I got the same truck and they dont make a turbo back exhuast because of the emission ... MBRP makes a filter back that eliminates the muffler. Banks is suppose to be coming out with parts soon. Its my first duramax so I spool the turbo often. 22 highway not towing 18 highway towing but usually on the pedal 17mpg average everywhere....

MBPR is about the best you can get..
If your gonna tune go with EFI Live
But I'm not 100% on the new stuff but that is usually what everybody likes and is satisfied with
Good luck man can't wait to see pics

The DIC is inaccurate when running a tune.
The newer Dmaxes get poorer MPG than the 07 earlier due to the DPF exhaust.
You need to get rid of the factory exhaust, and replace with a turbo back kit.
Also you need a good EFI Live tune, dont waste time on edge, banks, bullydog or other crap.
Of course all this will void your warranty.
My truck gets an honest 17-18 around town and 21-23 on the highway depending how i drive and what tune i run.
A good tuner can build you a custom EFI live tune with 5 tunes, and one of those tunes can be a low boost economy tune ( i run my economy tune on the highway).
But Im not SURE if the brand new Duramaxes can be tuned yet, i heard the computer hasnt been figured out yet but its only a matter of time .

i get 20-22 mpg out of my LML empty. H&S Performance has started tuning the new duramax but doesnt have anything available to the public yet. The truck they are running the tune on has all the emissions deleted (filter, muffler, urea injection, ect.) and is straight piped.
