There is a dude over on duramaxdiesels named Lennart. He is over in germany. He converted a RCLB to a RCSB using factory parts. He created a PDF "how to" for any one to use. I believe he named his build thread "the short cut" or something like that. His truck was an 04-05 ish. But the frames from 01-10 are pretty much identical.

Easy really, because the truck is FWD, there is nothing that isn't moveable. He used two slide axles and a line lock IIRC, you can hear the pneumatic solenoids engaging and disengaging the lock pins. So, he just unlocks the pins, engages the line lock, and then uses the trucks power to slide back and forth. His goal was a very low approach angle so that he could get any of his cars on with no fuss.

Short bed conversion - Duramax Diesels Forum

This is the thread that has the PDF with the "how to" for the 2500HD long bed to short bed conversion.

If any of you guys did, or are doing this type of conversion- speak up. Show it off!

One of my (many) dream trucks is a NNBS LMM 4wd RCSB, lowered 3/5, 22's, built trans, built long block, big injectors, dual fuelers, custom tuning for no (or little) smoke, and a set of Extreme Predjudice Racing Triple Turbos. Should put down 900+ hp/ 1300+tq easily. And probably pretty good mileage too.

If only i had metric **** tons o money.......
