Factory duals Y'ed into a single 3"

I think the gains/losses on this particular setup (cant speak for others) between 3 and 3.5" could only be measured in single digits on the dyno. Plus I think the smaller diameter of the 3" keeps the exh gas velocities up and helps out the lowend on my heavy *** truck.
Just so everybody knows too, the Pacesetter ORY is reduce from 3.5 down to 3" a couple of inches forward from where the intermediate pipe meets the ORY pipe. That said, a couple 45's and about 6 feet of straight and this setup could easily be upped to a 3.5" system. Of course I would need 2 new mufflers.
I'll try and get an interior and an exterior video made soon. It sounds really good though.

you have a 6.0+ bolt ons youll have an overall better power band
youll build up alot of backpressure with that setup, and if that was a bigger exhaust you could retard the timming just a littel more.
thats just me seeing that you dont loss any low end with a 5.3 or a 4.8 with 3" and dual 2.25" exhaust systems
also a two muffler set up will slow the flow and increase unwanted backpresure i think the only benifit will be "faster" engine braking power

the truck realy sound good.........congrats on the finishing project.
if you can get a custom exhaust set up with out a drone that would be an accomplishment by its self. espiecaly with long tubes
