Default GM 6L and Allison trany

Will they work torgether?

first can you bolt them to each other?

second can you get the computer to understand what is going on?

our work truck has a 2007 1 ton with the allison. and re push the deisel to hard. well it has 101,653 miles on it and GM basicly said **** you.

we have a built 6 L in the back of the shop that we can put a turbo on and make it a great pulling motor. just need to make sure this can be done.

thanks in advance.

there has to be a way to make it work considering alot of older duramax's and 8.1's had 4l80e's instead of the allison so in some way they have to interchange.

A guy I know, has a buddy that has a either 01-02 Silverado. It has the 6.0 and Allison trans. So there has to be a way to make it work.

All GM engines use teh same bolt pattern. 8.1,4.8,5.3,6.0,6.2 305,350 and DUramax all uses the same bellhousing patterns and will allow the bellhousing to bolt up to the block. There may be 1 bolt hole extra or missing, but that doesnt matter at all, all the load is taken by the dowels.

teh toughest part would be the electronics.
