02HD

Hey guys, 02HD silverado, 8.1 has developed a miss at idle it is very intermittent, plugs and wires are all new, just did a tune up at last oil change, truck has 145,000 on it. I noticed an exhaust leak but it is clear back at the muffler and really isnt all that bad but I am in the woks for a new muffler to let her breath a little anyway. Have any of you had this issue? and since this is the first forum I have found for this beast I will ask one more question, Every morning when I start the truck (15 degrees on a warm day lately) I get a bit of a squeal and I cant find it, is there any common things you guys have heard of about this, once it warms up it goes away.

try disconnecting and re-seating the injector connections. I chased a miss in cyl #1 for a while before I tried that, and it worked. As for the squeal, thats a PITA. first check the tensioners, both AC and serp. if it starts happening more frequently, get behind each pulley while running and spray a little WD40 until it goes away.
