Default Just got a duramax

So I just got a 2002 c/c 2500hd 4x4 duramax. I have been looking seriously at the edge juice w/ attitude. Has anyone used it? Good or bad? I'm not going too crazy with it. Just wanna get as much power as I can safely on stock allison. In fact, I'll prob be driving it on stock setting, except when the annoying kids with the imports wanna play, lol.

i know 3 people that had them and they all broke. i think the edge products stuff is built real cheap. Go with a programmer. My buddy has a diablo sport predator and it works real good. Or go with bully dog and outlook moniter if you want the moniter for egt, boost, etc

Theres only one tuner for the dmax and that is PPE! Look into the PPE economy one if you don't plan on doing too much as the PPE HOT 2 has settings you def won't need on stock allison haha. The economy will have 3 settings i believe which are the same first three on the HOT 2 one........Keep it on level 2 and you will be fine. Don't go any higher on the levels unless you wanna start building a trans.

I have the Edge J/A on my 05 LLY Dmax and like it. It and the Bank$ 6 gun are the safest power adders for the Dmax because they monitor EGT, trans slip, and other stuff. If you start to slip the trans or forget your on level 4 while towing a heavy load and run your EGT's up too high they both will automaticaly defuel and keep you from damaging your engine ot trans. I really like mine, it installed in about 10 minutes, adjusts easy, and really makes the truck come alive.

True the PPE is among the best tuners out there, EFI live being first. But if you want to keep the stock trans alive stay away from the PPE, they make TONS of power and can ruin a stock trans in minutes if you run it too high too hard.

PPE won't ruin a stock trans is ran on level 1 and 2 only. Don't go pass level 2 and you shouldn't have to worry
