Default Lets see those lowered 8 lug trucks!

I searched and didn't see a post, so here is one. Post up pics of the lowered rides, and what kit (or parts) you used to get it that way.

I'm thinking of selling the SS and building an oil-burner, and I'm sure the info will help some other guys out also.

Clearly needs lots of work before it is done but it is getting there.

Maybe the worst photo shoot ever but here are some up and down pics from my phone.

As I drive it and see how this height works I would like to make ride height an inch or two lower. I also have to change the two crossmembers and that will instantly give me an inch lower.

Bagged? Is that a 6' box? Depending on the truck I end up with I may section the frame to make a SBSC out of a Duramax HD, it's something I've wanted to do for years.

It is the 6'6" I think, it is the normal short bed. Not the extra short from the super cab or whatever it is called.

I loved the long and low. I also really love one off and wanted to shorten the wheel base and loose as much weigh as I could since the main goal is to go as fast as possible. When I finaly make it to the track 12s this year and 10s eventualy. Last year as a long bed it ran 13.4 @ 100 mph.

I'm with you on being unique, sweet sidepipes, btw. I like the long and low look also, but that long wheelbase is a bitch to get turned around. a short bed short cab 1500 will turn on a dime, then again, the longer wheelbase does make pulling a big trailer easier.

I guess it all depends on the truck I find. If its a dually I may just do the lowered mini-semi thing, lol.

I can't wait to get them blacked out and installed. I spend very little time on the truck and never ever drive it. Money hasn't been plentiful either to get everything done. Hopefully the rest of the summer will bring some play money, and the fall will bring plenty of time to **** away that money and finish her up!
