Default Need opinions, thinking about buying 2002 2500HD CCSB Duramax

so the truck is an 02 duramax 2500HD CCSB 4X4. Has just about 130,000 miles on it. Interior is just about spotless, exterior has some minor scratches from being on a horse farm but has no dings or dents. Has a gooseneck mount. No rust underneath. Dealer has put new Terra Grapplers on it and had a front leveling kit installed. You can see they are asking 20999. Kbb says its worth 15,750. What are yalls opinion on this thing? I haven't test drove it yet but plan to tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday.

Is it just me or are they asking WAY too much for this? Bank will only finance up to 16,500. Im thinking no more than 16, preferably 15.

The high asking price is a gimmick to get the buyer to put a big down payment on it. They know how much its worth and the loan value. If u give 20 for it and they will only loan 16 ur gonna be out the remainder plus TT&L, also it gives them lots of room to negotiate.

Way too much. I wouldn't give them any more than $15. If kbb says its worth 15 then the dealer knows that and there is no way they paid close to that much for it or even gave anyone close to that amount on trade in. Just tell them your price you want to pay and if they say no, oh well. They are looking for some other sucker to get that asking price out of. And they probably will. Don't be that sucker. Good luck.

My 07 classic is a ecsb but had 139k on it and it was from Texas so rust free and it's an lt1 nothing to special and I paid 16,8 for mine almost 2 yrs ago.

I say 15 max they want alot for that truck but u have to ask if the Injectors replaced too or that's some $$$

Good info so far guys, thanks! Keep it coming! I can easily check the repair records as it was all done at my former work.

Sounds like I shouldn't offer anything more than 15 for sure. Checking around local listings, 15k would be about average for the mileage. And its not like its a fully loaded truck either, just an LS model. Doesn't even have power seats.

WAY TOO MUCH!!! I just purchased my 05 CCSB 2500HD 4x4 with 100K miles on it last December for only $18000! Only thing my truck didn't have was Onstar, and it was bone stock except aftermarket wheels with BFG AT's. And this was at a Chevy dealer! It Blue Booked out at $28K...

I have since put bigger BFG's on it and an Edge CS on it. Love the truck and gets the same if not better mpg's as my 2000 half ton. Just traded the half ton for a 20x8.5x7 enclosed trailer to put my Jeep CJ in and tow it to the fun spots.

You can find the deals out there ya just gotta find them.

It will need injectors eventually. A set is $1,800 right now. For $16k you can buy a newer truck that will have more miles and more options. I'd look into a 06+ truck. If you look around a lil more you will find something better.

2006 Chevrolet Silverado Duramax

Chevrolet 2007 Silverado 2500 Diesel 4x4 Crew 8-Cylinder 6.6L Duramax Diesel

I'd look into these if I was in the market again.
