Ok guys i searched like a **** and i cant seem to find a definite answer on what the backspace and offset should be for aftermarket wheels..
Im wanting to run a 33-34" tire on some 17" wheels...
But i am having problems finding what backspace and offset i need.... i dont want them sticking out 5" past the fenders and dont want them tucked way back underneath to far either lol...
can someone give the a backspace and offset range to stay in???
Anybody who wants to reccomend an aftermarket wheel for an 05 white CCSB 2500HD.... i am open to suggestions!
Not looking to spend a bunch of cash either though, im on a tight budget.... cant decide chrome/polished/black?
Not sure if i want to go with a chrome/white scheme or white/black scheme... the pickup needs quite a bit of TLC but i got it for a good deal!
Gonna get out my Hptuners/wideband and tune it up this weekend, take the damn TQ managment off lol... Needs bumpers and wheels/tires first.. then ill work on the rest of the cosmetic stuff (look good mods, lol)....
Probably build a front mount turbo setup for it like i did on my trans am in the future. Valvesprings, pushrods, timing chain, ported oil pump, and a few psi and call it good... not looking to make a **** ton of power just a little extra... although i did make well over 600hp with the little 5.3 through a stalled auto and 9" on a very conservative tune on pump gas no meth, that motor is still runing strong and is abused daily probably has 20k on it hahahahahaha!
I really appreciate all your help guys!

I am running 20 x 8 with 6" BS all around and tucked. If you can find wheels with choice of BS then maybe 6.5" front and 6" rear as the front track is 1" wider than the rear I believe. There is an old thread by Moregrip with lots of info from when he bought his Intros. Not sure about rubbing issues with the 33-34" tires. How wide a wheel are you planning to run? BS on my stock wheels was 5" on 16 x 6.5 x 28mm offset mags.

No pics tonight. '05 2500HD 8-lug axle under the back of my '06 Sierra. With Cragar 397 17x8, 4.5" advertised backspace, but they measure wrong. An 8" wheel with zero offset is technically 4" backspace.
Anyway, on 245/70 tires, tires are flush with body. On the inner side, there's over 2" of clearance.
I'd say a +25mm offset would be best, even for 9s, unless you want to buy flares from Bushwacker or Warn.
Up front, I can't say, as I haven't changed those. Still running the stock 17x7.5" 6-lug wheels.
