Default pacesetters into the stock exhaust minus cats

i deleted the cats and shortened the exhaust to fit long tubes. the truck is actually QUIETER than it was with cats and manifolds, because the intake doesnt bellow from a restrictive exhaust. the exhaust note is a little raspier, naturally, but it isnt much louder than before, of which i am glad.

My man, Finally someone did this so I can see a little what I'm going to get myself into when doing mine. If you dont mind me asking, where did you get your pacesetters from? I didn't think they made them for the HD trucks or did you just use ones for a 1500? Did they make a noticeable difference in power?
Thanks.

You may be the first who's catless longtubes are quieter than stock. Mine would wake the neighbors two block away even with the 22" big-body Magnaflow.

i got them from amazon. i just got the ones for a 1500 without the Y pipe. i still havent tuned it, so i can't accurately say how much power i gained, but it feels like the low end torque is the same with increased top end power.

amazon is great sometimes. I'll have to check it out.

BTW, I found another thread elsewhere with a guy who put some pacesetters on his 5.3, and after he tuned it he put down 25 more hp to the wheels, that's pretty good gain if you ask me.

Is it possible to provide the link to the pacesetters you got at Amazon? I am having so much trouble finding headers for my 2500hd 6.0 as well...
