Default want to mod my 2006 Express Cargo w/ a 6.6Dmax

Does anyone make exhausts for this van? I know it sounds silly to mod a cargo van...but I figure..why not?

I plan on towing my motorcycles to the racetrack is all...maybe tow my 24ft enclosed carhauler from time to time.

I also have a 2500HD w/ a 8.1liter and it gets like 13-14mpg on the highway..i want something alittle better for this van.

can anyone help??

take care,

dave

Modded vans are the ****!! Have you seen the Quigly 4x4 vans?

Probley most anything from a truck (tunning wise) will work for the van. You could try to buy just a muffler from a company ie. magnaflow,MBRP,banks.... You could also probley make an intake for it it wouldnt be that hard..

Also do you know if its possible to get a D-max in a 4x4 van?

I have an 06 Express D Max and was running a Predator. I had an issue with it they could not fix without having a Express on their dyno to map a tune for it. It was a cold idle problem when the outside temps were below 50.
Outside of that it ran hard. Tire spin was easy, boosted launch was out of the question. I made maybe 6 passes on the 1/4 and the best it would do on the 85 setting was 15.2. You need slicks to do any better.
I am waiting for EFI live to get out of Beta testing and will go with that.

Sweet, that'd be awesome to see a big old cargo van destroy a Mustang or Camaro on the track..

I'd get EFILive and tune both of them. A bit of learn involved, but the results, especially on the Dmax will be worth it! BTW, they have releases the LBZ software to public Beta, so everyone can get it

I'm getting a EDGE EZ for my Van. The issue the current programmers have is that they communicate with the allison trans...the Ez doesn't. It'll be installed in the next week or so.

I'm also having a local diesel exhaust place here in Vegas do the exhaust. SO hopefully it'll be one badass van.

I bought it for "my business" but after I logo it up with my company stickers, I'm using it to take my racebikes to the track. Quickly...

later,

dave

DeCampo,

You're also on the DieselPlace.com website huh? We've communicated a couple times over there I think. You have an 85hp setting to your predator? Holy Crap...the EZ is 35-65hp and up to 200lb ft of torque. I would think there might be an issue with the tranny.

Have you had an issues with the tranny?

later,

dave
