N.C. Performance Inc. is bringing legal street racing to central Illinois. We're planning to host a series of 5 events throughout the spring and summer at the old Motion Raceway in Assumption. Flag starts, no timing equipment. Run heads up or negotiate lengths. Race who you want how you want. Mufflers mandatory slicks are allowed. Go to ncperformanceinc for more details. Our first event is tentatively scheduled for May 3, 2008. We are looking for sponsors and food vendors with their own generators. How ya'll plan to deal with ins. issues? Will emt's be onsite in the event of a problem? Don't mean to rain on your parade but I've thought about the same type of thing and it's the liability of it all that kills it! That's why most people get groups together and rent tracks for special/club events to have the measure of safety and liability issues covered. Yeah sure there are costs involved but well worth it in the event something goes wrong. Street racing in the real way is very dangerous and there in no liability since it is not a organized event and everyone runs the chance of something going wrong either as a participant or a spectator. To host an event without proper ins. in todays sue happy world would be like russian roulette. Like I said before, not trying to rain on your parade but think about what could go wrong and who will be held responsable??
