Midnight Drags

Not me. Don't really care for the midnight drags. Takes too long and I don't think they give out time slips. At least they didn't when I went. I prefer the Friday night Test-n-tunes. They start earlier and give out time slips on every run. Might be busy with the bracket race scheduled this weekend.

Yeah i might go watch on saturday but i plan on heading there as soon as i get out of class friday. I dont want to look like an idiot in front of a lot of people as this will be my first time down the track. I've done all my racing on the street in the past.

And prepare to wait in line to get in if you don't get there early.
It's not really a big deal. You tell the person at the gate you are there to run, give them $20 (unless it's gone up) they will give you a paper with some info to fill out. After you fill it out you go over to the Tech/inspection area usually at the far end from the gate. They will look over your truck to make sure it's safe and put a number on your window. Then drive over to the staging area, get in line, and wait for your turn.
The odd thing for me the first time I went was learning the lights. I used to think you went on green... Quickly found out how slow off the line you will be if you do that. Although it doesn't really matter for the time slip since they time it from light to light at the TNT.
I might be able to go out there Friday night if you want some company. I'd like to see if I can improve on my time a bit anyway.

Sounds like a good idea, but I won't have any extra money for a while. Tax season is never kind to me. My wife started a new job with better pay on Monday though so hopefully we can get caught up on things quickly this year. Do you have a guess on how much it will cost to get some?

There is a set on here for set of used 28" Hoosiers for $300, plus the guy named Cooder who is on here sometimes might be interested in this so maybe only $100 a piece. Ya I need to do a few things before going to the track, just an idea since none of us run our trucks much
