Performance Shops near Twin Cities
Heya all.
I'm looking for good, competent and fairly reasonable shops in or around the Twin Cities.
I'm looking to get a cam installed, tuned, and possibly some transmission and maybe turbo work done somewhere down the line.
I only know of one place.. where I went before. And he's either no longer in business or different location.. name.. something. And he has gotten a pretty bad rap from a lot of people on other forums.
Just looking to see what's out there. Who's done your work. All that good stuff.

Since none of them are sponsors on here I'll tell you WHO TO STAY AWAY FROM. Do not go to:
Doug Rippie Motorsports or HI-TECH Motorsport.
If you need help with a cam install or tune, I can give you some pointers and help you do your tuning. Otherwise I like Tim at Twin Town Motors up in Circle Pines. He does top notch work. The only thing he doesn't do is tuning. There's no real what I would call "professional" tuners around the Minneapolis area that I've met yet so be careful.

Thanks for the reply. I'm assuming I would be able to drive around for a little while untuned after I get the cam installed.
And top notch work is what I'm after, especially since my cam install be as routine as others. It's something that I can guarantee no one has done before. 09' V8 Colorado with the LH8 5.3.. Lol. Still LS-based.. but still different.
I'll for sure look into your suggestions when the time comes.
