Hopefully that will help my truck run a little cooler, the damn thing runs about 212* at idle and around 205* on the highway. I think my t-stat is a 187* I don't know if its worth getting a lower temp one or not, but I would like see my truck run about 10* cooler.

lower temp thermostat will do no good unless you program your fans to turn on cooler... otherwise it will still get just as hot until the fans come on.
the larger radiator should definitely help with cooling...
but you need to know that these engines are made to run hot... it helps with fuel atomization/ emissions....
they are actually normal between 200-220
i know i freak out when i see it.. and i know this is the case... but its just the way theyre made

I think I will just do it to my stat. It is only about 3 months old as I replaced it with my water pump this summer when my gaskets started leaking. Heck for that matter I think I still have my old stock one too..
I hope they are good prices...

I went to Perry and back today and man my gas milage sucks. I only got 15 mpg.
I got 18 mpg when I drove the truck back from Pennsylvania. Frank has been working on a tune for me that he might be able to get to me this week so hopfully that will help it run more efficienlty again. It would be nice to get it running the best I can before the OKC meet! I can't wait to get some headers on there and a good exhaust. Those old cats and stock exhaust can't be doing me any good.
