Default Tulsa area FLT install.

Hello fellow Tulsa area people. I was wondering if some of you would like to help me install my FLT tranny soon.

Chuck told me yesterday the the transmission should be ready to ship by mid week. I'm not sure if he meant this week or next but I expect someone to call when they are shipping it out so I will know when to go get it at the shipping facility. I was assuming he meant this week, not much chance it would be here in time for this weekend anyway.

I am tentatively planning on doing the install next weekend (Feb. 5th) if the transmission is here by then. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't really know anyone around here except the few people I work with and none of them would be any help, even if I asked them.

Weekend, Feb 5th??? The 5th is on a Monday. If you are meaning to do it that 1st weekend of Feb., I might be able to helpout. Got the little man's B-Day party at Laser Quest that Saturday, but might be able to break free sometime afterwards. Where you planning to swap it?

Yes I meant the weekend of the 3rd. I knew I had that wrong and I thought I had fixed it.
Chuck called me today and said it is getting shipped today. He said he is going to call me tonight with the full details and tracking info. That means it should definitely be here in time to install it next weekend.

Hey what kind of beer do you guys drink? I'll pick some up.

The 3rd is good with me pending that I actually get the transmission, but if he got it sent out today surely it will be here by then. He was suppose to call me tonight with the final shipping details and I haven't heard anything yet. I was figuring on doing the swap at my house in my undersized garage, unless you know somewhere better.
I can't think of any special tools I would need I have decent collection of tools. I guess maybe another 1/2" extension or two wouldn't hurt from what I hear. The longest one I have I think is 24" and I have a few shorter ones, but I haven't done a tranny swap in a truck this new so I'm not sure how much extension I will need. I also have an adapter for my floor jack to make it a transmission jack so that should help.
