Hello my name is Renee and i am from Texas. I have a little problem that i need help with. Its on my 1987 Chevy Silverado with a 2003 6.0 and 4L80E trans that i put in myself. It is my project that i got running. I'm not a certified, but i know alot in mechanics, but can't seem to figure this out... My problem is #8 injector keeps dumping fuel. I have replaced the fuel regulator and the injector 3 times to see if this would help. And no luck.. I checked the plug to the injector with a noid light and its not pulsing. The light just stays on. I have checked 1-7 and they are firing properly. As soon as i connect #8 injector gas starts coming out of the header this is, because i have not completed the exhaust system yet. I am wondering if it could be the computer thats not grounding #8, but i am not sure. Can someone tell me what i need to do to fix this problem. ![Bang Head](https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)

Could it be possible that your wires are swapped? What did you use for a harness? The ECM sends a ground signal to allow the pulse. Has it always done this? I like the idea of swapping coil/inj harness' side to side.

try swapping a couple of inj around. Then you'll know if its wiring or injector. It doesn't make sense that it could be gummed up over a short time like that, but maybe it has some junk in it.

as stated above, if your noid light is lit contant its not the injector.the pink wire is powered 12v while ign is on and while cranking. pcm grounds the dk/blue & white #8 injector to turn it on.(thats on a 02 6.0 harness) should be the same on 03. i would disconnect pcm harness and check with an ohm meter the dk/blue& white wire to see if it is shorted to ground.if that checks ok i would suspect the pcm for a faulty injector driver. good luck!!
