I was given a 1998 Chevy Tahoe, with 210,000 miles, in mint condition from my grandpa. It already has an Airaid intake, granatelli MAF, magnaflow hi flow cat, flowmaster, chip, and escalade wheels. I'd like to get about 325 hp out of it, without going into the bottom end, or a power adder. I also plan on adding a roll pan, and an SS bumper cover. Has anyone done this?

No, its a Vortec 5.7 350.

 

Edelbrock E-Tec heads, ported intake manifold, headers, 454 tbi, cam, 1.6 roller rockers, and a custom chip. That should get you close to 325 at the crank.

I guy I kind of knew back in the day with a 95 RCSB did about the same stuff, and it was pretty damn fast. I never got into the TBI years becouse I was a Big Block guy back then. My 75 2500 RCLB was faster, way cheaper, easier to get HP out of, and would make chilren cry. I only got a new truck becouse my wife was bitchen about my other cars, and a guy I knew at work had one that seriously impressed me stock.

 

A 454 TBI will not work on a Vortec setup.

 

L7 has the right idea for mods.
