Anyone put a 4l80 in 73-87? If you have, can you post some pics of your xmember?

How does the 4L80E mount? I used the stock TH350 mount with my 4L60E, just drilled a centered hole for the mount, and moved it back some.

It's longer...
Some guy on fschevy posted a pic of how he modded his to fit. I "might" do it that way.

looks like that guy has a decent one. It might be better if you went with a custom made tubular setup, using the stock holes on the frame.

ya, I am on the fence with this one. His uses his stock xmember and looks good painted.
Money is a factor, but I would consider a kit. I have been looking at the gforce universal kit.
porterbuilt makes a crossmember to go with his dropmember, but im waiting on some pictures from him. He says it will probably set it too high, but he could do a custom one, no price yet.

yea, if you could get a good fabricator to make you one, that might be the best way to go.
