Default 5.3L engine swap converter question

I started gathering parts to install a 5.3L engine/4L60E tranny in my 63' chevy truck. Can someone tell me the difference in converter stall speeds in stock 2002 chevy trucks with 4.3L/4L60E vs. the same truck with a 5.3L/4L60E's?

I bought a 4L60E that was behind a 4.3L and I figure the stall speed is different...maybe higher, but I don't know exactly what that difference is.

Appreciate any words of wisdom you guys have.

Converter from the 4.3 wont work with the 5.3. The 4.3 is pretty much an old style 350 missing 2 cylinders, the 5.3 is a ls style engine. The flex plates are different. Im not sure if the bell housing bolt patterns are even the same.

Thanks White1! I'm pretty sure the transmission is the same between the engines, but your probably correct about the converter. Anyone have suggestions on aftermarket torque converters?

the tranny bolt pattern is the same for spacing, BUT your 4l60e tranny doesn't have the hole for the center top bolt and the 5.3 doesn't have the hole tap for the upper passenger side bolt. so, you will only have 5 bolts holding everything together.

just something to think about.

Edit: Just to clarify - this is a trans from the older V6 (Gen I, so to speak) - the newer V6 trans (GenIII types) should not be a problem as banker09 states below.

Thanks guys...I'm new to the Gen III world, but looking forward to stabbing this engine and tranny in my truck. I did check the tranny and it has the top center bolt for the 5.3L. Guess I just need a new converter and a little bit of luck.

Anyone have a good stock converter for sale?
