Did you use the original gauges or update to electric ones..... I would appreciate any details.
Its hard for me to look at other trucks due to the condition of mine, I have a jaded view. My wife's G-pa had this truck and kept it garaged until I got it 10yrs ago. My brother has a 68 and to me it is rough but really it is decent shape compared to other trucks but this one. I am very lucky!

Wiring: I am using the stock harness and Current Performance fuse/relay set up. If you can get the original fuse/relay set up and dont mind the size, it is about 3 wires to hook up. I have not trimmed mine down yet but will eventually. Mine came from a 3500HD Van and has a TON of extra stuff not on the truck harness.
Engine: I am using the stock motor stands with Poly stock mounts attached to LSx swap brackets from transdapt. Brother is using some kit from online, its really nice and only like $200 and comes with engine/trans crossmember.
Trans Mount/crossmember: using the stock 71 crossmember with 4l80 mount. There are holes in the frame that it fits perfectly in.
Fuel Pump: generic E2000 electric pump into a vette filter/regulator and running stock tank and since it is an emissions style tank there were nipples on the filler neck side that I just attached the return line to. Depending on the year of your motor, it might have the fuel pressure regulator on the rail and wont need the vette F/R.
headers: Doug Thorley headers made specifically for this application
Gauges: stock but did add mechanical Oil Pressure and water temp. I am using the Cable X box that takes the VSS signal and turns a motor that turns a cable attached to the stock gauge. Since I did not change the tank stuff then my stock fuel level gauge works.

hope that helps, let me know if you need anything else!

I'd Love to do the same thing with a Short Bed. Like the one on Dazed and Confused.

F-body Rad and fans.
Runs 194*, got the 1st fan to come on at 210* and it only gets that high if I am in traffic/fast food line not moving. but the fan kicks on and cools it down.
