Shon keep us posted on the mileage with the 373. What diameter tire are you running? I am trying to decide what gear to run in my swap. (87 GMC Crew Shortbed). I have a stock brake booster set up for your truck here at the shop if you have any interest. Jay

First tank was 16MPGs, I will know tomorrow or next week about another tank.
I have 27" tall tires on 15x10 chrome rallys.

I actually have a new booster and M/C here, just have not had time to put it on.

Cool. I may go with 3:73s on mine. I thought I would offer the booster, its just laying in my pile of stuff that too good to junk. Jay

I need to mess with the lock up of the TC, at low speeds it still locks up too low and feels like it is lugging so I will start messing with it so see if I can affect it some.

If you need anything let me know!

took it to the local drag strips.
A few saturdays we ran and it went 2.0 60' 8.9 @ 80 out the box, I was shocked and then decided to get froggy and hooked up the hose. Wanted to hit it with a 150 but had the jets for 100 and we let it roll.

TH night at greer it went 9.15 on a 2.15 60' on motor so I was OK with that. Lined up with a 100 shot and this is how it went:

For those that dont want to watch vid, 1.80 7.8 @ 88

Its currently a disc/drum set up that we added the brake booster, tons more stopping power! but I have the F-body disc brake conversion parts to make that swap. I just have to source a few more parts and then do the conversion. I am not going to get in a hurry on that.
I have the 3/4 drop coming and rebuild kit be here soon, I will get that done and then go from there, with the heat coming I might take the wiring harness off and trim it, i just put it in the truck as it was just to be sure it all was going to work and the express van has ALOT of extra stuff in the harness compared to the trucks we normally use.
