94 K1500 take 2
Wanted to share my latest purchase with you all. Back in 1999 I financed my first vehicle purchase. I paid $10k for a sharp 100k mile K1500. I put 80K miles on it and had a ton of memories behind the wheel over 3 years. I took my wife out on our first date, and we even drove it away at our wedding. 6 months after we where married and feeling like I wanted a new truck I sold it to a good friend.
Almost 7 years past and we find ourselves needing a truck again. I call up my buddy and he says he'd sell it. He had it for 7 years and didn't even put 7k miles on it. He added a 3" body lift, lift lips, 305/75/16 MT Baja Claws on Classic II's.
Got it home and been driving it for a week. The tranny is going out, no big deal. Bought a 2005 complete pull out this evening from the local salvage yard.
Here she is.

Seeing that truck really and reading your story really hits home with my 93 I sold to a friend about four years ago, He wont sell it back either. Here's a couple of pics of my 93 and one of my 97, I really wanted to do LS swaps in both but it never happened.(SORRY FOR THE LARGE PICS)

I really struggled with doing it. I'm on a budget "again". I wanted to do the 6.0/80E but the added cost over the 5.3/60E, as well as the added cost to swap drive shafts. The 5.3/60E will be a direct swap and shouldn't take any time at all to put in place.
