not yet, the guy that owns the van is still in Tennessee, but he's suppose to be back up this way in a couple weeks, so hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on it and strip it down.

Carnage at it's best. I'd skip straight to the 6.0L, and build it up while you have the 350ci motor in the truck. Grab an 80E, add clutches + shift kit, and you should be fine behind the 6.0L. The 5.3Ls are nice, but now I'm wishing I'd have waited a lil longer for an LQ9.

Yup, that's what's gonna happen, I'm gonna pick up a 6.0L and an 80E to put in it for now, to replace the 350, then I'm going after something a bit bigger, like say a 408 or 412 stroker, maybe by the end of next year she'll be finished.

damn, I wish I had the money to throw at engine combinations like that.... My dad has an 82 c10 in need of a 6.0, and if I did the swap myself, he would let me keep the truck... My Malibu could use a 6.0 as well...
Good luck with your swap man, it always sucks when something breaks...

I'm looking at throwing about $3500 into the stroker short block. You can grab an LQ4 for $1300 or less, just gotta save up a little at a time and throw at it. I'm not planning on throwing it all together at one time, I'm planning on getting the heads and stuff for my LQ4, then dropping the money on the short block later on and swapping everything over at a later date. For now it's getting a stock LQ4 to get everything swapped over and all the kinks worked out, then the performance stuff later on...like when I get the tranny and rear end built to handle it.
