I like the idea. I'd also like to see the looks on peoples faces. "I just got beat by a tow truck...."

LIL SS, do you know what you are doing for paint, wheels, etc? The reason I ask is that if this thing is going to look pretty much stock then that's one very serious sleeper.

Badmofo, The pan will get cleaned before final install..

Throttle, either NTSC sealer or DP90 on body, flat red rally's, behind the grill there is an oval pice in the sheetmetal that will go flat red like the wheels with a black grill, Chevrolet in the tailgate red. But that's basically it.

1slow, It's actually about 6 inches off the ground..

Update (sorry no pics today)

Bed is off and I have taken out a couple cross braces. Fabbing up some fuel cell mounting brackets. Only thing coming thgough the bed will be the filler cap.

-8 line in to a Y
Dual -6 in to the pumps
Dual walbro's under the passanger door on the inside of the frame rail.
Dual -6 out of the pumps
Y then -8 to the fuel pres regulator on the passanger inner fenderwell
-8 to a y fitting splitting to the rails
-6 return to the cell

I'll take pice of all this on Sunday when I finish the cell brackets (hopefully)..

nice project truck ss. that'll make for a nice combo goin to the track. props to ya on the welds they look pretty good and the mounts look pretty solid. solid mount is more fun especially when its got a nice case of the shakes. which walbro p/n did you use on teh pumps? also, what fpr did you use? just lookin for ideas on the buggy's fuel system.

Few updates (I really should bring a camera to the shop)..

Engie compartment is sprayed black.
Motor just needs the intake bolted on.
Fuel system is complete minus one fitting.
Computer is mounted just need to add the 4L80E wiring to the PCM and tranny (M6 harness)
Went to bolt motor/tranny together last night and set in (wronf flex plate)
Edelbrock headers came in today

Hopefully next week motor will be in, exhaust will be done, wiring will get done. Then I just need a drive shaft and shifter..

Little farther toight.

We thought it would be good idea to test fit the Edelbrock 65703 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" long tubes. We had to do a few mild massages such as plasma a little off the passanger side top C frame fail. Put a 1 3"4" pipe in the lower portion of the tubes with out the collector on and pull them in slightly. The driver side was just barely touching the LCA knuckle and the passanger sat real close to the lower portion of the C frame. After that, the rest of the exhaust was installed. 3 1/2" to 3" reducers, 3" X-pipe, dual Warlocks and hagers are welded on.

I really need to take a camera to the shop for some truck **** for you guys.
