Default My next project - 1970 SWB Chevy

I bought a new project a couple weeks ago. This is a 1970 Chevy SWB truck. Previous owner stripped it down to bare metal and had it painted hugger orange. Afterwards he decided he had one too many projects, which is where I step in. Truck doesn't have a bed, but thats on my list.

Truck has no motor or transmission, which is exactly what I wanted. Definitely going to be LSX powered. I'm really leaning towards putting this on top of a 99+ 4x4 truck frame and suspension.

Here the truck is in its original paint. No rust and straight body.

Getting some color...

After orange...

I'm going to pick it up this week and will get some pictures of all the items I start collecting for it. I'm looking forward to this one!

Thanks guys. I think its going to be a fun project.

XLR8NSS tells me I have to use the new LSX block for this project, and I just may do that. The block is the right color, so its a natural fit. Gotta have a set of these valve covers to go with it.

niiice. those trucks look pretty slick with a 88-98 style stepside bed on them. plus they are fiberglass so they dont weigh much
