Problem with AC in 98 Silverado
So the other night someone broke into my truck and stole my stereo and i pod
I brought my truck to work to tear out all the old wiring so I could put in the stock stereo that way I could at least have some type of music to listen to.
On the way to work I'm pretty positive my AC was working fine. So I tore out all the old wiring and got it ready to put the stock stereo back in.
When I left work my AC won't turn on. The fan speed and temp ***** work fine, but the blower selection **** (defrost, mixed, upper, lower vents) will not switch off the lower foot vents so the AC won't turn on. When I turn the fan speed **** off the AC and Recirculate lights come on but when I actually turn the air on the lights go off and it just blows in air from outside instead of cold air and the AC won't turn on.
Any ideas what it could be? I checked everything under the dash and all the wires look good and nothing is unplugged or broken. Could I just have bad luck and the HVAC controls went out on me?
