Yea, I agree, but that's just the way they make them.
I see you're an SA local RS/SS 4.8, feel free to swing by the house and give me a hand putting it back together sir.

No 68 sheet metal
My name is Steven and I am new to the c/10 lifestyle. I have never owned a truck before, let alone a classic one. I recently purchased my 68 Chevy c/10 with a 5.3/4L60e swap. The guy i bought it from was going through a financial hardship and had already done most of the work to the truck. The cab corners, and rocker panels have been replaced as well as removing the gas tank from the rear seat and welding off the factory filler location.
I will have tons of questions about building my truck to my liking and figured this was the best place to seek out the help from fellow chevy truck enthusiast.
I have owned several nice cars, in my mind, in the past and love to learn new things about different types of vehicles.
Here are some photos as the trucks sits at the moment. He did most of the body work and had the cab and bed already painted, so i may as well paint the front end to match, and enjoy the truck the current color it is before taking it all apart and going with a two tone orange/white cheyenne look.
I'll try post some other pics in the next few days.
I have tons of questions and am currently kinda lost as to where to start. Any advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Don't take this wrong but from the pictures you don't have a 68. Well not by the sheet metal anyway. The hood isn't 67 or 68 it could be a 70 model but it's been swapped out at some point. Very nice though no matter. The swap is a popular one with these models since the parts are inner changable. I have a 71 I just dropped a LSx 6.0 into.

Great truck so far, many cookies! I plan to put a 6.o in my 67 eventually. Currently rolling and older carbed n camed vette 350 & th350. The trans is on its last leg, so starting to shop around and plan the new rebuild
You going to keep the 72 front or go back to the 68?
