question on headers for 88-99 c1500 pick up

Default question on headers for 88-99 c1500 pick up

Im putting a 4.8 in my truck 89 c1500 2wd 700r4 my question is will the long tube headers for a 98 up f-body fit in the truck.

I think that Hedman makes a header that works for this swap. Try looking them up.

Schoenfeld makes headers for the swap. No one else makes long tubes for them that I know of.

If you try f body headers make sure you post up if they work. I'd be interested to know what other long tubes will fit in these trucks.

I've just installed the schoefield headers on mine, the swap is not finished yet, but the driver side wont let me reuse the oem bars for the transmission shifter, what can i do to change the system?

Those guys do. Whether they are any good or not, I have no idea. Not really cheap either but then nothing ever is. I looked into them soley as I want a primary tube larger than 1 3/4". They hang below the frame rail however and that is completely unacceptable to me. I plan to simply have a set of big block chevy headers modified.

Word on the interwebZ is the LS Camaro headers aren't even close.......
