Default spider fuel injecter

i have a 1997 chevy with the crappy spider injecters in it and it is leaking and will flood out the truck have to let it sit for a few days tell it will start agine so i found that there is a new upgrade that i can put in that will change it to the same as the 2002 2007 injection but they want 400$ for it does anyone no if i can get one from a wreaked 2002 2007 and just put it in

In case you haven't found your answer by now, the MPFI conversion can be bought from Rock Auto for around 230 dollars, and will bolt in just like your CSFI spider. That's the only upgrade that I'm aware of, as the 5.7L Vortec retired from US production in 2002 when they started using LS engines in the Express vans.

You can also put on a mercruiser intake and have true fuel injection and change injector sizes, they are pricey and hard to come by though
